There are certain cities across the world that sends tingles down the spine, and London is one of them. It is a diverse and exciting city that is full of attractions and things to do, most of which you cannot do in any other city. In fact, there is so much to do that it is hard to narrow down what to not to miss when you touch down on the tarmac. Here is a taster of the London scene and a few reasons why you have to visit London if you get the opportunity.
Shop to do you drop is not an over exaggeration in England’s capital. There are numerous high-end shops and boutiques that will deplete the funds within minutes or budget high street chains that are very affordable. Spending a day looking around the shops is a great way to bond on holiday and keep the kids quiet because if they do play up you can always buy them something to stop them moaning.
The West End
Going to the theatre is an experience that every family should sample. The atmosphere and the artistic values on the show are incredibly enjoyable and before long you will be lost be in production. In London, the West End is one of the two most reputable theatre destinations in the world and it is perfect for adults and children alike. The kids will not fail to be entertained by the singing, dancing and all the fancy costumes while you and your partner will love the show and the swanky surroundings.
London has plenty of holiday activities for families that everyone will love. The special thing about the ‘Big Smoke’ is the diversity; it is an uber-modern city that mixes the tradition and custom of its past. As a result, there is something for everyone to do and not enough time to get it all done. Obviously, you have to check out the royalty of Buckingham Palace and hopefully see The Queen, or pop down to 11 Downing Street and check out how the country runs. If royalty and politics are not your things, you can go to Madam Tussauds to have tea with all the celebs or jump on the London Eye for a quick spin and spectacular views of the city.
The number of sports and sports teams that exist in London is amazing. Better yet, there are some of the best sporting teams in the world plying their trade, so you have to try and get a ticket. If you are from a country that doesn’t play soccer or football, sample the atmosphere of Stamford Bridge or the luxury and comfort of the Emirates. Or there is the home of rugby, Twickenham, which is worth watching any team play at such is the brilliance of the stadium. If you are around at the right time, you can even line the streets and cheer on the contestants of the London Marathon.
Above is just four reasons, but there are plenty of others that make London city an incredible experience for all the family.
