What, Already?

After ordering my Digital Download last night there was a brief period of panic as I was unable to log in, but this morning all is well and, as you can see, there's already some data waiting for me to assimilate :D

Is it December yet? ^^

It's Done...

I've ordered the Digital Download for my main account. If it all works as planned, I'll be playing as the game goes live.

Frankly if it all goes as planned I'll be bloody impressed... :D

I have heard a number of people complaining that the new water effects that Blizzard have introduced have made their water look dirty, muddy or indeed largely less attractive than it was before the change was made. I would like to present this picture as conclusive proof that water now looks spanking gorgeous, and I really don't see what all the fuss is about:

The Zandalar Island at Night. Awesome.
I really am going to miss ZG, but I suspect there will be far more beautiful places I can go stare at :D

The Last Days of Empire

After the sale of the Raptor (no surprises really) and the fact that ZG is on a three day raid lock there has been more than one trip back to the Original Troll Raid Instance, using a combination of tanks and healers with skinners in two. It's an odd feeling knowing it's the last days of this great instance, that the clock is ticking down to it's demise with unerring certainty. We're not farming the place by any stretch of the imagination either: raptors only, and the two bosses who might finally yield their mounts (but aren't likely to, let's face it) but still these half-hearted attempts are yielding some moolah. Skinning is the biggest winner again, with Rugged Leather back up to 40g a stack, but the Bijou and coins from any trash that gets in our way are not to be ignored as people desperately try to complete their Zandalar rep.

With all this time in ZG the conversation has inevitably turned to the Secondary Troll Raid Instance, and whether it would be possible to farm ZA in the same way with the changes 4.0.1 have brought. The biggest sticking point of course is actually getting into the place, as you needed five people to bang the gong to gain entry... but not so now. The Wonder Pally did a reccie and was able to enter with simply two, so I'd expect this week we'll be heading North to the Ghostlands to see what farming joys are in store...

Cash v Collect.

Last night, after my success in Magister's Terrace, Wonder Pally and I decided we'd go see how our luck extended on the Mount front in the soon-to-be decommissioned ZG. Not unsurprisingly we drew a blank on Raptor and Tiger mounts. However, we scored an unexpected bonus.

I almost missed the Razzashi Hatchling as I skinned, but there it was. If it had been just me in the Instance I'd have learnt the pet without a second thought but without my husband's help I'd never have looted it in the first place, and I found myself in an interesting situation. Should I push my pet-collecting tendencies or should we see if we could capitalise on this pet's soon to be extinct status? Some lively debate ensued, and in the end we came to a compromise. If the auction above doesn't attract interest in two days, I get to learn the pet (yes, mine's the highlighted one.) If it does, my husband gets some benefit from what was always going to be a trip where we'd both roll on all the potential spoils.

I'm really hoping it doesn't sell ^^

As an Odd Yet Seasonally Associated Postscript to our journey out last night:

Were these bags dropping in last year's event or are they new?
