It's On!

I can officially confirm, having (unsuccessfully) run Blackrock Caverns last night (don't kill all the puppies, it's BAD) that instances are hard again. At least, it was hard at 2.30 am to get my head around boss mechanics. It's probably a really easy dungeon. Who am I kidding?

I didn't get a chance last night to put on record my levelling intentions. In the hour or so it took me to actually get online last night I found myself seriously thinking about levelling to 85 as soon as I could. Fortunately the feeling passed... I've done two expansions at high speed and frankly I don't care who gets the Illustrious Grand Master titles or who's able to show off their maxxed level first. This time I'm going to complete the content at my speed, regardless of what's going on around me.

The work I did on quests provides me with a decent six bar start and no need to worry about the lack of rested bonus. The quality of quest experience looks pretty high too: despite my initial plans I sent P to the Waterworld last night and was blown out of the water before I even got there by the richness of the quest experience: the dialogue as I waited for the boat was impressive, and it only improved as I got on. The last time I saw P she was inside a boat with her first quest proper... we'll see how things go.

In the meantime, we'll be getting W and N out this morning and learning professions :D Pictures will follow, but I've only had four hours sleep, so be gentle on me...

This doesn't so much feel like an expansion but a whole new game!

Flying on all Continents is beyond awesome.

The questing through the new Lvl 80+ zones all just flows and I was pleasantly surprised by how few bottlenecks there were, even at peak times.

Archaeology adds another layer to an already immersive experience.

All in all big GRATS to Blizzard for what seems a very well implemented launch (the odd server log-on queue apart)...

Wave goodbye to your life- the Cataclysm is here!!!
