The Christmas Concerts at school are done, my car (just about) scraped through it's MoT which means I can buy my car tax today. I've not actually had a decent night's sleep since Monday night either, which is thy the blogging's gone a bit pear-shaped. There is only so much enthusiasm you can muster for a Game when you're living with a permanent headache and a couple of hours sleep.
Anyway, I digress, for there is much news from the Land of PuG Dungeons. First off there's been some hotfixes this morning, though I have to say I'd call them retro-nerfs:
- Ionar, in the Halls of Lightning, will now only disperse once during the course of the fight.
- Prophet Tharon’Ja of Drak'Tharon will now only steal your flesh one time during the encounter.
The fact remains however, this system works. Since inception I've gotten the mage a significant number of upgrades (including Khadger's legs, and the lovely + hit wand) plus my lock and No 2 Hunter have new shoulders. The only limiting factor is how long you can play. Over Christmas I'd expect to see a HUGE number of people doing late nights just to that end.
The new ICC 5 mans have also delivered a phenomenal amount of gear, on both settings. No 2 Hunter is the owner of a iLevel 219 Gun, head and belt from one run. Last night I grabbed some Guildies for a run on Heroic and snagged not only the Surgeon's Needle for the Shammy but also the Nevermelting Ice Crystal (which I am hoping will be useful with Lesser Healing Wave) Pretty much everything from the run went to someone, and I'm a big fan of runs where nothing ends up being DE-d. I predict much time in these instances in the future.
I should also do an achievement roundup, but for now I think I will be returning to bed for a while, with cough medicine and the hope of at least a bit more sleep in tow... because we go back to Icecrown tonight. I will post my husband's awesome Guide before I nip upstairs however. It's worth seeing for the graphics alone.
